Unnecessary partitions previously divided daily activities, restricted sightlines, and limited the reach of daylight. Their removal was therefore not simply an aesthetic decision, but a deliberate strategy to improve connection, flexibility, and spatial performance.

The reorganized plan links the living room, dining area, kitchen, and reading corner through extended views. From the sofa, the eye travels through the dining area and into the kitchen, allowing cooking, dining, reading, and resting to coexist within one shared field. Family members can follow individual routines while remaining aware of one another. Natural light reaches deeper into the interior, air moves more freely, and the limited footprint feels more generous without increasing its physical area.

Behind the sofa, a window-side reading zone transforms residual circulation into a purposeful place for reading, working, or quiet reflection. Its low, rounded counter preserves openness and daylight while gently directing movement. One person may read while the other rests or watches television—close enough to feel connected, yet free to maintain a personal rhythm. This simple intervention expands the role of the common area and keeps it actively used throughout the day.

Rounded edges at the dining table and adjoining elements soften circulation around the central structure. A continuous wall of full-height cabinetry consolidates storage, conceals everyday clutter, and extends into the low television platform, creating visual continuity across multiple functions. Warm wood grain, soft mineral textures, and muted tones form a calm backdrop that allows light, movement, and daily life to shape the atmosphere.

The cats are not confined to a separate zone. Clear, connected circulation allows them to move naturally between people and spaces, participating in family life while preserving their independence.
