About The Entry

Tucked within a municipal garden in Wuhan, the Florasen Life Aesthetics Sales Center finds its spiritual anchor in a Tang Dynasty verse by Chang Jian: "A winding path leads to a quiet retreat, where flowers and trees shroud the Zen abode." The design translates this classical poetics into a contemporary commercial spatial narrative.

Flowers and greenery are central to the spatial expression. The design dissolves the boundary between inside and out through expansive transparent surfaces, employing the garden-making techniques of framed and borrowed scenery to draw the greenery and shifting light of the exterior garden into the interior. Greenery, stone arrangements, and floral art are systematically woven into the space, merging with color and material texture in a seamless dialogue. The result is an indoor garden atmosphere, an interior landscape that echoes the world beyond, capturing the sense of seclusion and enclosure evoked by the concept of "Flora and Foliage, Deep Within." The interplay of stone, wood, metal, and glass strikes a balance between warmth and coolness, solid and void, coarse and fine. Gentle, restrained lighting softens the inherent remoteness of a conventional sales environment.

At the scale-model area, a suspended art installation unfurls in overlapping, layered forms, a frozen moment of blossoms in bloom. The open negotiation area is grounded in solid wood and softly diffused overhead lighting, with planted greenery and floral accents extending the garden's natural character. Full-height glass panels draw in natural light and outdoor views, allowing visitors to remain connected to the surrounding landscape as they pause to converse or rest.

This design brings the project's residential vision forward as an immersive spatial experience. It is no longer a showroom for products, but an urban sanctuary, a place to pause, breathe, and feel, establishing a deep emotional connection between visitors and the way of life it represents.
