About The Entry
Set within Shenzhen’s densely developed CBD, Boiling Room reimagines the entertainment venue as a house open to the city. Guided by the idea “Home and Boiling,” the 700-square-metre project brings the familiarity of home into dialogue with the energy of a party. A European manor house informs its spatial language, while contemporary materials and an open layout adapt it to urban nightlife.
Arrival begins in a garden rather than an enclosed lobby. A carefully scaled stone facade stands against the surrounding towers, while dark glass reflects greenery and the city. The courtyard leads to an open living room, where a fireplace, curved seating and mirror panels that suggest high windows create a domestic focal point and extend the perceived depth. Set at the threshold between room and garden, the DJ booth makes the living room a backdrop for performance and keeps indoor and outdoor spaces visually connected.
Beyond this social heart, a low bar offers a quieter place to pause. Arches, columns, drapery and a domed ceiling shape an art corridor that shifts the experience from lively to intimate. Six private rooms reinterpret the domestic salon and media room through varied layouts, stone surfaces and lighting scenes. Core stage equipment is concealed within the design, allowing the architecture to retain the character of a residence even as light transforms the atmosphere.
By day, the garden, stone and reflected greenery form an urban setting with its own presence. At night, controlled lighting draws the spaces into a layered party scene. Boiling Room uses classical order and contemporary expression to hold two states together: the ease of being at home and the freedom to let go.
