About The Entry
Inspired by the designer's childhood wish to hold onto the melodies in one's mind, this wearable EEG composition device features a non-invasive BCI to record sleep EEG signals. After matching against an independent timbre database, it transforms each BCI signal into the corresponding instrument timbre, enabling music lovers with ideas but no crafting ability to truly achieve brain-computer music composition for inspiration-to-music creation without training.
Non-invasive EEG acquisition, an independent timbre database, and a dedicated app together constitute a complete workflow. The app provides BCI signal recording, timbre editing, and free note arrangement, enabling users to complete a composition on the spot. During sleep, tri-color light signals (green: normal; yellow: generating and low battery indicator) keep status instantly clear; 24-hour battery life and a snap-fit structure ensure all-night operation and a secure, non-slip fit, while the replaceable fabric strap balances comfort and individuality.
Visually, the sleepsician draws on hand-drawn sketches, Rhino modeling, and KeyShot rendering. Its app adopts a low-saturation color palette and a frosted glass UI to avoid disturbing sleep. Its modern, minimalist body and artistic fabric strap together create a unified aesthetic language.
Overall, the sleepsician eases creative effort with technology and design, offering emotions a meaningful outlet, and enabling every ordinary person to bring the music in their mind to life.
