Nanjing Tianchen Aesthetics Museum

This Aesthetics Center is located in Nanjing, China, a city that blends traditional Eastern culture with modern urban vitality, in the shape of a circle with an elegant and simple tone. The hollowed square space perfectly combines landscape and architecture to a light box that merges into the surroundings, as if in nature. Large areas of glass improve lighting conditions and maximize permeability, while eliminating the boundary between the building and landscape to leave some breathing space. Wood materials in the interior echo the characteristics of the ancient city. "Circle" is an important element. Curved lines divide the space into dynamic and static areas, and columns in the atrium increase the richness of the space by stretching out several planes from another dimension. The integration of circles and hollowed squares highlights the traditional Chinese wisdom of keeping the balance between circles and squares, interpreting traditional culture and aesthetics with a modern architectural language. The design forms an introverted space with great privacy and conveys the concept of transcending boundaries, creating a space where people, architecture and nature live in harmony.
