Xuzhou Greentown Lakes And Mountains Urban Gallery

Located in Xuzhou, Jiangsu, the project is the exhibition center for a high-end residential cluster, which would be renovated and used as a kindergarten in the later stage. To convey a new kind of life attitude about "living next to the lake" is the main purpose of the design. The site embraces Yunlong Lake and is adjacent to Hanshan Mountain. The project blended here with lakes and mountains, while keeping close to the city. Our team believes that the focus of the design to add the tranquility of luxury natural life into the bustling urban atmosphere. Natural landscape is brought into the design: A bridge is set in the inner courtyard to connect the two ends of the C-shaped bulding, enriching the tour route. Multiple reception spaces are set up at the entrance, absorbing the characteristics of the surrounding environment, increasing the situational experience and the sense of traditional space ritual. Wood-grain aluminum materials and LOW-E glass are introduced into design, which integrates modernity and elegance into the design, exploring the traditional Chinese concept of "lake dwelling" in the background of contemporary urban environment. In the later stage of the project, the bridge in the courtyard will be removed, and the activity space for the norsery will be increased to meet the functional needs of the kindergarten, while minimizing the demolition and modification.
