Tide Hotel is located in the old city historical district of Chaozhou, which is a renovation project of historical buildings. In order to realize the transformation from an office building to a hotel, we re-organized the building, structure and circulation, opened up the first and second floors of the original building and created a new void space. On the basis of the original facade, each room is added with a terrace, and a large number of arcs and arches are introduced, which fully integrates with the paradigm of arcades in the surrounding environment, and fully integrates the changing intentions of the environment and the trend. A rich language expression that meets modern fusion.


The entire hotel combines the collision of fashion and tradition, using metal and reflective materials, through the combination of art installations and trendy play, to create a visual impression of pioneering vitality; and for the inheritance of traditional culture, on the background wall of the hotel front desk, we will traditional The inlaid porcelain tiles are spliced together by tenon and mortise, expressing the unique beauty of this art form through modern means. The background board at the head of the bedroom adopts the local traditional tide embroidery process, combined with the totem phoenix image of Chinese civilization, and applied to the experience of indoor scenes, becoming an important carrier linking traditional and contemporary cultural contexts.

The design thinking of Tide hotel is more about the integration and collision of the branding and the traditional culture. The space is used as the carrier to extend the familiar scenes, culture and spirit of the local people into more connection meanings. Instead of chasing contemporary trends, it is more about showing the power of the times and the spirit of dream-chasing Chaozhou, a famous city with a thousand-year history.
