Gay Odin | Re-branding & Packaging

Gay Odin is a well-known artisanal chocolate factory founded in Naples over 100 years ago. The brand's retails covers all the Italian territory with 11 shops between Naples, Rome and Milan. As a family run business Gay Odin - Fabbrica di Cioccolato has passed from one generation to another and nowadays is the fifth generation to lead the company.
CHALLENGE
Over the last century the brand's communication had become confusing, so the management requested a re-branding. The brief goal was to coordinate identity and packaging, respecting the existing boxes and packs, not miscounting the brand essence and heritage, and attracting new targets without losing the bond with affectionate customers.
SOLUTION
Artisanal uniqueness and retro elegance have been used to celebrate the smallest details.
The historical store sign and the original illustrations from the 1920s have been reinterpreted and digitized to create a new original identity and a singular design has been developed for each packaging. For the boxes has been choose a natural paper for food use to enrich the sensorial shopping experience: a sustainable change in line with the authentic values of the brand.
