Red Star Superyacht

This project was inspired by the poem The Happy Excursion by a Chinese philosopher, Chuang-tzu. The Happy Excursion is one of the representative works of Chuang-tzu. It is full of dreamlike fantasies and romance, showing boundless thoughts and ideals to wander between the heaven and the earth. Based on the modern oriental style, I created a romantic oriental scenario and a dynamic magnificence to instill a feeling of being kept close to the enjoyment of a materialistic life despite feeling like being in a far-away oceanic habitat. Combining marine elements, the inner area of the yacht adopted a hypersurface design, which symbolizes the fluctuation of waves. Besides, I used straight lines to support the spatial structure embellished with metal elements to make the space more elegant.
