A client’s initial idea turned from a single use brief into a mega composite function for Al Rajhi's Bank as their first Digital Marketing Garage in their HQ 40 Story Tower. It is an open space that’s engineered to perform as a private function while it’s designed as a full open working space. It consists of squad media areas, collaborative spaces, banking services, and media production all under the title of I LAB. The spatial composition revolves around 8 squads of which 8-12 people are placed into. Out of the 12 people, 4 employees work in the space permanently while the rest are contractors depending on the projects' scopes. The activities are projected and monitored on screens for each squad and it’s moved to the core executive operation in the middle of the space. Following this orientation, we created a stand up meeting space for brief brainstorming that make the feel more casual and comfortable. Being the core Iconic Star- meeting room, it is designed with high innovative specs to break the ice when every contractor scope begins. Entirely, the space is a play of materials, colors, lighting, modularity schemes that make the users feel the modern, high tech fast tracking professional environment while reverting them back to comfort and soothing ambiance. Contractors visit the space for 24 hours hence the colors and textures are made suitable for them to rest privately as others go along their day. We also made sure the I Lab technology of the space is concretized in a versatile manner. It fulfills the function of testing the user experience of the clients in a fully functional simulated branch to collect digital data for developing a better user experience.
