New library of Beijing Huiwen Middle School

The library of Huiwen Middle School has a history of more than 100 years. A study of its rich history helps us define the new space with texture, lighting, and color.
The design rhythm emerged naturally. The arrangement of tables and chairs, the layout of lights, the setting of bookshelves, and the need for a sense of ritual can all be unified and solved in a rhythm that promotes space experience. We hope that such an iconic space can regain children's interest in reading and allow students to come here to relax and enjoy reading after their heavy schoolwork.
