Many Chinese scholars in the field of education suppose that the complexity of modern media has caused a negative impact on children during their early growth stage, leading to the problem of the "disappearing childhood" raised by renowned environmental media scholar Neil Postman. In 2021, China's Ministry of Education introduced new regulations to prohibit primary and secondary school students from using cell phones during school hours (in principle). It is believed that this measure will have a positive effect on children in primary and secondary schools and help promote their growth.

The T-SIDC (Tethered Electronic Student ID Card) was designed to meet the commuting and communication needs of primary and secondary school students against the new education model in the new era. On the basis of conventional student ID cards, this new one adds Bluetooth mode and NFC functions (including single CLF, eSE, etc.), enabling attendance records, positioning, NFC payment, calling, and other innovative features to be a smart campus/city card. Therefore, students can use this electronic ID card to contact their parents while their parents can locate them via this card. In addition, students can use it to take buses/metros, making this student ID card a safe and convenient tool on/off campus.

The T-SIDC (Tethered Electronic Student ID Card) boasts a body with rounded corners, which facilitate grip. It is processed through integrated molding to form a smooth body without parting lines. It has an extra physical card slot, providing a dual security guarantee for students. Moreover, this student ID card is mainly made of recyclable materials such as PC and ABS, contributing to the sustainable development goal.
