The apartment is located in the bustling city center. The primary objective was to create a peaceful and comfortable living space that caters to the unique needs of a newly-married couple. The design team incorporated the owner’s preference for neutral colors to make the space stress-free and relaxing.
Since the original ceiling was not high and had two intuitive structural beams, through professional expertise and craftsmanship, the design team addressed the problem when designing the curves and lightings so that it would not visually affect the harmony of the ceiling. In addition, the team used the structural beams to divide the spaces into the entryway, living area and dining area. Curves and linear lightings were used to decorate the ceiling beams to reduce the feeling of restraint. Besides, the entryway is the farthest area from the sunlight. To solve this problem, the team used gray mirrors to reflect the outdoor scenery, improving the visual effect.
A calm and serene space is what a home should be. The sunlight, curves and calm tones complement with each other, forming the perfect residence for the owner and giving the residence an aesthetic of life.
