Boundless -- Changchun Changbai Mountain Hotel

This project embraces tradition, modernity and future aspirations by extending the inherent significance of the architecture through design, creating an elegant and poetic space. The designers deeply analyze and reorganize the local culture, blending traditional humanistic spirit with contemporary artistic expression. They emphasize the emotional resonance within the space, striving to achieve a balance between commonality and individuality.
The designers adopt the concept of “boundlessness,” breaking down the barriers between the building and nature. This approach seeks a harmonious relationship, integration and dialogue with the surrounding environment. Special attention is given to the continuity and creativity of both interior and exterior spaces, exploring the close connection between space, people and nature. This results in practical, interactive and personalized indoor and outdoor environments.
The renovation of the building’s facade is inspired by the concept of “growth.” By lowering the window sills and enlarging the windows, the design enhances the natural light within the guest rooms. Vertical decorative lines add depth to the facade, and combined with strategic lighting design, they redefine the building’s image. The interior design is grounded in Eastern aesthetics, organizing the spatial relationships through garden-inspired techniques. The design focuses on “product culture, unique culture and experiential culture," emphasizing the experiential quality of the space. This approach ensures that the design is both functional and immersive.
