COZI Apartment Xin Jiangwan

This project involves the renovation of three old community properties and which is an integral part of the urban upgrade in the New Jiangwan area. It aims to enhance the living quality for nearby residents and inject fresh vitality into the entire community. Through design and renovation, the originally narrow, dim and cramped spaces are revitalized.



Firstly, a detailed measurement and analysis of the project were conducted, along with extensive communication with the owners to understand their desires for spaciousness, natural light and modern minimalist design. Therefore, the core objective of the renovation was to break the original layout and create a modern, fully functional open living space. By removing partitions and connecting the kitchen with the living room, the space becomes more spacious with improved lighting. Various functional areas such as the living room, dining area and kitchen are cleverly interconnected within the limited space, maximizing its utilization. Movable partitions are installed in the bedroom area to ensure privacy and flexibility. And warm wooden materials, clean white tones, and soft lighting are chosen to create a modern and cozy atmosphere. The bathrooms underwent a comprehensive renovation with modern equipment and aesthetically pleasing and practical materials.



Through open-layout design, space reorganization, meticulous material selection, and functional enhancements, the project thoroughly transforms the appearance of the old community, prompting people to reconsider the possibilities of living spaces and demonstrating how design and creativity can imbue limited spaces with new value and significance.
