The project is situated in Jinniu District, Chengdu, China, where the lively pulse of prosperous urban life is steeped in three millennia of Shu culture. In its site design, Chengdu Inner Land amalgamates the cultural deposits of Sichuan and the understated luxury aesthetics of Otemachi to present a metropolitan vacation life that is lax and elegant in the form of an urban vacation museum. It is not merely a serene and sequestered place, but a profound pilgrimage of soul.

Scenery #1 -- Entrance

The hotel-style entrance unfolds a high-end urban interface through an expansive landscape wall to fully reveal an image of extravagance. The front court of the entrance is adorned by a waterscape of Patek Philippe dial forged with rough stones and has a ground of spliced flagstones to communicate a sense of ceremony and quality for the home-returning owners.

Scenery #2 -- Water Courtyard

An integrated two-layer water courtyard is built indoors and features a 6m-high water curtain scene wall and a rare, priceless high-mountain padauk tree, which jointly constitute the visual centerpiece of a sunken water courtyard. The concealed artistic beauty is embodied by the tree and the stones to exhibit deeply understated luxury aesthetics.

Scenery #3 -- Floating Isle

A boundless central water court of 1,000m2 is used to boost the theme of “Floating Isle” by introducing the highly expected petty bourgeoisie life style into the community. The six customized life scenes, “Summer Pool”, “Floating Salon”, “Vacation Bed”, “Meditation Stone Court”, “Tree King Theatre” and “Sit-and-Forget Forest”, have created a lax gathering space in water and under trees for vacation in the healing of flowing water.

Chengdu Inner Land provides an art space for the coexistence of a metropolis and nature through its understated luxury aesthetics.
