The HIHAT Hotel is located in the Ideal Kingdom Resort Town in Haidong Town, Dali City, Yunnan Province, China. As a unique destination that combines tourism, leisure, and cultural exploration, the project’s architectural style blends European elements with a blue-and-white color scheme, earning it the nickname "Little Santorini" of China. Positioned at the entrance of the resort, the design aims to seamlessly integrate the building with the surrounding natural landscape, offering a dynamic and creative accommodation experience.
The hotel features an L-shaped structure with a total area of approximately 4,000 square meters, including 3,000 square meters of indoor space and 1,000 square meters of outdoor areas. Surrounded by abundant natural vegetation, the design prioritizes preserving the original environmental elements of the site, advocating for a harmonious relationship between the building and nature. The exterior maintains the original building's form, with the walls repainted white to unify with the surrounding structures, allowing the building to blend harmoniously into the environment.
The project includes 30 guest rooms and various public areas. The design incorporates elevated platform landscapes, creating a layered spatial experience with near, middle, and distant views, enhancing the dynamic atmosphere. Both the guest rooms and public spaces emphasize the interaction between art and space, providing guests with a unique sensory journey through changes in layers and perspectives.
Representing the multicultural spirit of Dali, HIHAT Hotel attracts young people with its vibrant, artistic design. The project pushes beyond traditional hotel concepts by combining innovative elements of music, art, design, and pop culture, creating a space filled with passion and dreams, becoming a sanctuary for modern youth.
The hotel’s name, "HIHAT," is inspired by the drumming symbol, symbolizing a confident and passionate lifestyle. The design explores the deep connection between people, space, and art. By integrating music, art, and design language, the space comes alive with rhythm and tension, offering a dynamic and engaging experience. The use of musical instrument-inspired furniture and lighting further enhances the sensory journey.
The HIHAT Hotel redefines traditional space by carefully designed circulation and spatial flow, creating an exciting and refreshing living experience.
