Oriental Villa

This project is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and is a modern residence designed with inspiration from the architectural style of traditional Chinese landscape gardens. The design team adapted to the local environment, drawing on the area's cultural heritage and integrating the characteristics of the gardens to promote a revival of the spirit of garden design. It aims to create a natural living space that combines humanistic values and artistic sensibility.
The overall architecture maintains the simplicity and rustic charm of classical Chinese buildings, while also reflecting a sense of returning to nature. Whether it's pavilions, towers, or roof tiles and windows, each element reflects the inheritance of traditional craftsmanship. In terms of spatial structure, the design team refined the traditional cluster-style residential model of the region, reasonably planning the courtyard circulation and functions to preserve the unique atmosphere of the garden while meeting modern people's demand for high-quality living.
The courtyard residences create a meditative Zen environment through the integration of gardens, flowers, plants, and stone, offering private garden experiences and visual enjoyment. A light well is set on the first underground floor to bring in both scenery and light into the basement. Meanwhile, the podium level of the detached houses has been carefully designed to accommodate the daily living flow and diverse functional needs of homeowners, dividing into independent functional zones to meet the daily requirements of all age groups and various interests.
