Monarch Wave

This project is located in the core area of Liaocheng Development Zone, Shandong Province, China. Endowed with superior geographical conditions, it is committed to becoming a benchmark-level work in the city. In the early stage of design, the team deeply traced the historical context of Liaocheng, drew inspiration from the demeanor of the Song Dynasty, and carried out a dialogue across time and space with Liaocheng's thousand-year-old civilization.

The project uses “New Song Dynasty-style architecture” as its creative medium, skillfully blending the elegant charm of canal culture with the majestic grandeur of Guangyue Tower. On this land known as the "Water Town in the North of the Yangtze River", it reconstructs the ideal residence for contemporary literati and scholars. In landscape design, the essence of Song Dynasty aesthetics is accurately extracted, and the design philosophy of "integrating paintings into the garden" is incorporated to build an immersive Song-style landscape garden scene. The overall spatial pattern inherits the ritual order of traditional gardens featuring "three-entry garden and multiple courtyards". Through the exquisite layout of stacked stones and water management, the hierarchical creation of plant landscaping, and the dynamic changes of light and shadow, it creates a poetic living experience where "scenery changes with each step and people wander in the painting".
