This project is conceived for a new generation of high-net-worth individuals who seek not only a residence, but a space that expresses identity, values, and cultural depth. Rather than pursuing conventional luxury, the design responds to a contemporary shift toward self-fulfillment, aesthetic cultivation, and long-term spiritual belonging.
Under the client’s stylistic direction of “Vintage Revival · Quiet Luxury,” the project proposes a more profound narrative concept: the “Family Art Museum.” The home is no longer treated as a container of style, but as a curated, evolving collection where life, art, and memory coexist. The space is structured around a temporal thread of “past, present, and future,” allowing furniture, artworks, and materials to form a continuous dialogue across time. Heritage is not expressed by simply displaying antiques, but by reinterpreting historical craftsmanship and forms through a contemporary lens, giving both old and new objects renewed meaning.
In spatial planning, the layout breaks away from conventional luxury residential patterns and is instead developed from real-life scenarios and daily routines. Circulation and functions are organized to reflect authentic living habits, ensuring both usability and narrative continuity. Indoor and outdoor views are integrated into the spatial composition, and traditional boundaries between rooms are softened to create a more fluid, gallery-like experience.
Material strategy plays a central role in the project. Techniques such as lacquer art, hand carving, fire-gilded metal, and glass etching are carefully combined with modern materials, forming a “cross-temporal dialogue” between craftsmanship and contemporary design. This is not a collage of luxury elements, but a precise orchestration of textures, processes, and cultural references.
Ultimately, the project elevates the idea of home from “residence” to “collection.” Every object is designed to be worth keeping, inheriting, and remembering. Through this curatorial approach, the space gains a lasting cultural and emotional value, offering a timeless, sustainable, and spiritually resonant living environment that grows together with its inhabitants.
