As global warming and environmental protection are becoming the global concern, Taiwan Cement Corporation (TCC) invests in the research of the cement industry which has high carbon emissions before, to convert waste into heat, ash into cement, and carbon into astacin. The design of this project will show the achievements of TCC to the world, which aims to advocate ecological environment protection and sustainable operation.

With a large ground area, various constructions are scattered throughout the cement plant. Based on the project context and the production flow of cement from mining, manufacturing, to product transportation, an exhibition corridor which can be viewed from three directions is designed to achieve good display effects either for the facilities viewed far way or details viewed at a close distance. The entire building can be connected to the cafe of the Waste Recycling Museum or to the newly added facilities in the park through the sky bridge to achieve the purpose of resource sharing. In addition, part of the building is raised to form a corridor on the ground to provide shelter for activities, allowing people to walk smoothly from the staff dormitory to the cement production area. The sloped roof is connected to the ground in the front square. People can go up along this ramp and walk to the rooftops to enjoy the surrounding beautiful mountain and sea landscapes in Heping Township.

Inspired by the barrels and connecting pipes everywhere in cement plant, the corridor embraces the cylindrical venues of various sizes, integrating this new ecological recycling factory into the old texture. These cylindrical venues can be cancelled or added flexibly according to different future practical needs. Sustainability is also the focus of architectural design. The building materials are local cement products to avoid the consumption in transportation. The optimized design of geometric structure, along with modularization and standardized production and construction, allow easy disassembling and reuse in the future.

After completion, it will become a new educational and tourism landmark which promotes local sustainable development.
