The 59 m2 MRT joint-development residence including the front and the rear balconies is a project within the traditional night market. The young house owner anticipates it to be a spiritual sanctuary amidst the bustling street blocks. Therefore, we have offered certain flexible future options for the lounge and the study without altering the layout.

Due to the shallower depth of the lounge, the dimensions of the television wall and cabinet are adjusted to avoid crowding, while the line of vision for the narrow television wall is extended via coating with symmetric patterns, with iron piece contours of the display cabinet retaining the sense of openness.

The cabinet separating the lounge and the foyer is accessible from both sides and we have carefully allocated each space according to the house owner’s lifestyle while maintaining circulation safety and visual balance.

With the energy recovery ventilator and by adequately restoring the valuable building height of the new project, we eventually completed the cozy space within a small area surrounded by the bustling MRT and viaduct.
