"PLUS19 Taiwan Hot Spring" project was initiated by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communication with the express goal of introducing Taiwan's hot spring areas and their defining characteristics to an international audience. With the assistance of curators Sheu Jer-Yu and Kuo Chung-Yuan, the Tourism Bureau has worked to bring to light the essential “DNA” of each hot spring area. Integrated design concepts not only help to overturn previous public perceptions and to create fresh, new styles, but later aim to culminate in an easily recognizable tourist hot springs brand.

Content creators and teams from various fields have been invited to bring new visual perspectives to Taiwan's hot spring areas through new interpretations and expressions. In addition to reshaping both hardware and software facilities, professional outdoor tourists have also been invited to highlight the unique features of each hot spring area from the perspectives of their various professional fields, thereby further expanding the horizons and potential of Taiwan's hot spring culture.

The museum of the Guguan Visitors Center tells its story from the angle of ecology. It offers visitors new perspectives and helps them to revisit old memories. The museum's themes and areas are divided into: "Hiking and Soaking in the Hot Spring in Guguan ; "A Hot Spring Tour", "Plant and Wildlife" and "Sound Library."

“Hiking and Soaking in the Hot Spring in Guguan” offers a basic overview and layout of the hiking and bathing options available for visitors to Guguan, as well as tips on how to best enjoy their visit. “A Hot Springs Tour" offers an easy-to-read history of the Guguan Hot Spring area and associated facts and figures. “Plant and Wildlife” combines walks through the surrounding trails of the Guguan Visitors Center with explanations using taxidermy and drawings. Finally, “Sound Library" offers a selection of children's books on ecology and hot springs, as well as a place to rest and relax for the whole family.
