In the universe of banking services through applications, it is increasingly rare to visit bank branches. Thinking about this dynamic of a less frequent yet more special relationship between banks and their clients, we decided to create a new format for this physical space. A format that communicates culture and innovation, in addition to proposing a new way of understanding what safety is.
To this end, we included experiences that mix the physical and the digital, a process known as phygital. The waiting area has become an environment for connection, with a café and touch screens that simulate the visual experience of the bank’s app. All services are performed with the team and the clients seated.
The internal configuration was designed to integrate the strong architectural identity of Brasília, the Bank's headquarters city, with innovative and humanized options. Thus, Brazilian Modernism combines with the intelligent use of materials and light, creating communication practices that are efficient, unique and contemporary. The works of art, especially the photographs that fill the agency’s walls, make reference to the aesthetics of Brasília, highlighting new perspectives on the fiftieth-year-old city. The ceiling and the lighting project as a whole were designed to be functional, sustainable and, above all, visually striking.
Restoring a sense of security was especially important to the project. In addition to pragmatic decisions, such as leaving the cashiers at the back, the agency started to adopt routines that include the sterilization of the banknotes placed in the ATMs as well as those handled by the staff. Sensory marketing was another key proposal. We created an olfactory identity, as well as an original coffee blend.
The result is a space that escapes the expected monotony of a bank branch. A project that becomes the new reference for face-to-face banking service, without losing the bank’s connection with the identity of Brasília, and that offers a pleasant experience because it is designed to be humanized.
