About The Entry

This is a catering project that retains part of the original structure while undergoing extensive demolition and renovation. The site previously housed another business operated by the client; upon lease expiration, the client adjusted its business direction and launched a new catering brand: SI HAI FUSION – New Chinese Style Restaurant.

This project focuses on shaping the spatial artistic conception, creating a space with rich layering and rhythm through rational layout and element collocation. Indoors, screens and grilles are used to divide the space, forming a semi-separated effect that adds subtlety and depth to the space, reinterpreting traditional Chinese elements in a modern way. From spatial layout to detailed decoration, a large number of classic Chinese elements are applied, such as palace lanterns, solid wood furniture, blue and white porcelain, traditional murals, etc. These elements are not only visual symbols but also carriers of profound oriental culture. We hope to continue and sublimate the unique charm of Chinese culture in the contemporary context.

Adhering to the philosophy of "Though crafted by human hands, it appears as if created by nature", we ingeniously integrate natural elements into the space. Indoors, scenery-borrowing forms such as doors, windows and architectural crevices are adopted to create an interweaving sense of interior and exterior spaces, where the scenery changes with every step. Open-air green areas are set up in the atrium and the periphery, dotted with bamboos, wood, rocks and green plants, blurring the boundary between architecture and nature. This allows customers to feel the breath of nature at all times during their dining experience, creating a tranquil haven close to nature in the bustling city.

Here, one can temporarily bid farewell to the hustle and bustle, feel the leisure and freedom of Chinese-style space amid the gentle breeze and warm sunshine, and embark on a wonderful journey for both the taste buds and the soul.
