JIAOYANG

JIAOYANG is a children’s running shoe specifically developed for primary-school students’ 50-meter fitness tests, with school-track sprinting as its design starting point. Inspired by the high-speed transmission logic of Formula racing, the shoe translates principles of mechanical power transfer into a purpose-built running system. The design focuses on how children generate, transfer, and release force during short-distance straight-line running, creating a more continuous and efficient propulsion experience.

The visual design takes inspiration from Formula racing, expressing speed through a clean and highly efficient silhouette. Unnecessary decorative elements are removed, while the brand logo is retained as a strong visual expression of motion. The outsole is developed around the characteristics of plastic straight tracks and research from sports science laboratories. Its specialized linear traction pattern works with a lightweight TPU base layer to provide reliable grip and support during acceleration.

A dedicated linear propulsion system integrates a TPU propulsion plate, a forefoot Li-Ning BOOM supercritical foaming technology module, and a full-length lateral TPU structure. The lateral force-transfer system draws inspiration from the transmission effect of racing bearings, helping forces move more smoothly between the rearfoot and forefoot. The heel provides stability, the TPU structure supports torsional control and force transmission, while the forefoot focuses on ground push-off, creating a clearly coordinated path of movement.

The midsole combines Li-Ning’s Power Fang and Li-Ning BOOM supercritical foaming technologies. Power Fang is specially developed for children, offering balanced softness and support, while the forefoot Li-Ning BOOM supercritical foaming material provides lightweight rebound and responsive propulsion. The upper provides a secure, supportive fit to help protect children during everyday physical activities.

Designed for frequent training before fitness tests, the outsole uses highly wear-resistant rubber with a DIN abrasion index of 14, offering four times the abrasion resistance of conventional rubber. By integrating racing-inspired aesthetics, linear propulsion, dynamic support, and durability, JIAOYANG creates a specialized running shoe designed around the real movement needs of children on the school track.
