House of Tranquility

This duplex residence with an interior area of 160 square meters, and an outdoor area with garden and terrace of 60 square meters, is located in the suburbs of Chengdu, China. The unique climate conditions in Chengdu and the careful construction of the community give the residence a refreshing outdoor view. The original intention of the design is to create a unique leisure residence based on the leisure and vacation needs of the owners, combining with indoor and outdoor scenery. The residence has convertible spaces – the designer cleverly utilized these spaces into interior interactive members, and creatively changed the position and shape of the staircase, which has completely altered the logic of the spatial layout, thus provided a more comfortable user experience for both public and private areas of the house interior. The designer hopes that the interior space is full of texture, provides a vivid and natural overall space experience, but tries to avoid "rigid design marks".
