2023 Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival

The 2023 Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival took the “floating flower city” as the concept of design bearing nine installation art, respectively. The elements of natural ecology, agriculture development, and human characteristics combined with local created three guardian angels integrated with an artisan story in local Xinshe; also invited the long-term care elders in the community and local craftsmen to work on the exhibition creation. To fabricate the first floating flower castle in the air globally within a romantic, majestic, and magnificent atmosphere.

The exhibition planning this time connects the local featured culture and the inspiration of the subject, starting with a local story. Additionally, the main flower carpet is also a significant breakthrough to vivid the community through the strength of such a festival event, and jointly create the installation of the main subject,” Ferri’s Wheel of Green Care,” together with 100 elders from local communities. The display planting masterpieces were from the arranged gardening class before the exhibition; elders will enhance their self-confidence through simple gardening activities from the media of the flower carpet festival.

The sustainable spirit is the core, and it was the first time to combine the beauty of the community, creating local green care and local featured culture jointly as the elements for the heading of incubation of flower festival, and develop more possibilities to combine cultural creation of local organization. It also expects to create public welfare, fabricate local joint effectiveness, and form positive circulation by displaying installation art and presenting flowers.
